Weight Loss Plans for Women

When it comes to weight loss, there is no quick-fix or sure fire scheme that is going to help you shed those pounds quickly. You will find plenty of weight loss plans for women, but these aren’t necessarily the plans that will be best for everyone. Most of the diet plans that are out there are fad diets. Sure, you will lose a few pounds in a short period of time, but it will be next to impossible to keep that weight off. In fact, you will probably even find that you gain more weight than you lost in the first place.

How To Lose Weight Successfully

We all want a miracle diet that will help us lose weight and keep it off forever. Unfortunately, there is no such thing. The best way to lose weight, and the healthiest way, is to use common sense. You don’t have to give up all of your favorite treats when you want to lose weight. This can actually end up having the opposite effect, because many people who give things up end up splurging on them later on and totally blowing their diets.

You can lose all the weight you want without ever having to give up your favorite treats. The trick is to eat things in moderation. Instead of eating a burger and fries at a fast food restaurant, cut out the fries and just have the burger. Instead of a hot fudge Sunday, have a bowl of ice cream with some sprinkles. You’d be surprised how much weight you can lose just by doing this, and of course, exercising.

Forget the 3 Meals a Day

For years, our mothers taught us that it was healthy to eat three fairly large meals every day, with the largest meal being breakfast. Now, while breakfast truly is the most important meal of the day, there are some pretty good arguments against eating three large meals and opting for eat more, smaller meals. Studies now show that women are more successful with weight loss when they break up those meals and have five or six smaller meals throughout the day.

Here are some reasons why this works so well:

  • Less Between-Meal Snacking – You know that a couple of hours after you’ve eaten you are hungry for a snack. The problem is that many of us end up snacking on the wrong foods. When you are breaking up your meals, you will be eating more often and less tempted to snack between meals.

  • Spreading Out Nutrients – Our bodies need to have nutrients all day long, and it is easier to do this when you are eating often throughout the day. It is important to make sure that the foods you are eating are loaded with the proper nutrients. For example, you need to have protein more in the mornings and mid-afternoons than you do later in the evening.

Bottom line

Dieting doesn’t have to be something you dread. As long as you are eating healthy and cutting back on your portion sizes, the weight will come off. Avoid the fad diet plans for women and just stick with a healthy eating plan, and you should have no problem shedding those unwanted pounds.
